Established in 1990, the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation is a family foundation that supports community programming that helps children, adolescents and young adults lead fulfilling lives. The foundation is dedicated to societal impact through healthy communities initiatives and through strengthening the capacity of our partners. Due to the continuing generosity of the Tower family, our asset base is growing and we expect to award grants in the range of $7 million to $8 million annually.
The Tower Foundation operates within distinct funding categories (mental health, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities) and specific geographic regions (Barnstable, Dukes, Essex and Nantucket Counties of Massachusetts, and Erie and Niagara Counties of New York). We prioritize funding that leads to improved systemic and organizational capacities in screening/assessment, education/awareness, transition/service navigation, evidence-based practice, efficiency and technological improvement.
